Welcome to my blog! I’m Gerhard Pegel, a passionate cloud engineer on a mission to explore the ever-evolving world of technology. At the age of 46, I bring more then 25 years of experience and a deep enthusiasm for open-source technologies.

One of my most exciting projects was building my first Slack bot using the Hubot framework. Five years ago, I embarked on this endeavor to simplify Zabbix tasks for users. By developing a custom Slack bot, I enabled individuals to effortlessly perform simple Zabbix operations, significantly streamlining monitoring and alerting workflows. This integration empowered teams to respond swiftly to critical events, enhancing overall efficiency and productivity.
